The Book This is my Life – Stories from Children in Bhutan for teaching English in Denmark, for 5th and 6th grade:
What’s special about the content of this book and webpage is that is has been made by children in Bhutan. They have told stories, written poems and taken pictures about their lives in their country.

Alle skoler burde straks bestille et klassesæt til skolebiblioteket.

Bøgerne er rigtig fine og teksterne er gode og relevante. Lærervejledningen er som tidligere nævnt superb. Den har mange og varierende opgavetyper. Jeg vurderer den til at være perfekt til min 6. klasse.

Til undervisning i engelsk ja – men også fremragende at inddrage i flerfaglige sammenhænge på mellemtrinnet. Fx i forhold til den aktuelle, danske debat om at følge Bhutans eksempel med et lykke-index.
Enhedslisten foreslår, at der sættes politiske mål om et “lykke-national-index” som et supplement eller alternativ til bruttonaltionalproduktet – og ligesom i mange andre lande er der bred politisk lydhørhed for, at der skal tænkes anderledes og på andet end netop økonomisk vækst.
Alle CFU´er bør anskaffe bog-delen i klassesæt til udlån til skolerne.

Everyday life in Denmark
My name is Mads Vikkelsø Holst. I am 12 years old. I go in 6.B. I have 3 sisters. My sisters are 4 and almost 2 years old. My parents are broke up. I go to Tingkærskolen in Odense. My teachers names are Trine and Lene, the best subject is music. In my freetime I go to karate and music in Odense
In a weekend I won 2 bronze medals and I love that.
I do karate 2 times a week.
After school I go to music and play drums. Some times we play a concert.
That was my life I hope it was good.

My everyday life is I am going at the school at 08:30 and I am driving whit my sister we are driving on ore bikes not motorbikes but bikes at 08:00 the school is open we learn
more Danish and more English my schools name is tingkærskolen and I love it. at the clock is 12:00 or 13:30 I am driving home so I am doing my homework at 14:00 and so I go down to my room and talk whit my friends on Skype and we are playing minecraft together. I have fun with my friends. I hope you have some god friends.
My favorite sport KARATE
my favorite sport is KARATE. we are talking Japanese over there. and we shall over to tournament and fight fx me vs another boy or girl. And so we shall fight but before we start we shall bow for each other and so the battle is beginning
